Dan Coultas

Dan Coultas is a Heathen and researcher based in Yorkshire, England. After a 13-year career in the Royal Navy, he returned to university to complete a master's degree in Medieval Studies. From there, he became a living history interpreter, providing an immersive educational experience for school children, giving them a taste of life in the Stone Age, the Roman Army, or as newly arrived Viking settlers. He is now a post-graduate researcher at the University of Leeds, working towards a PhD. His research mainly focuses on medieval social history and literature. He is the General Secretary of Asatru UK, gothi of Heathens of Yorkshire, and has previously held positions in the Pagan Federation, PaganAid, and the Defence Pagan Network. Dan has authored and co-authored several books, including: The Gods' Own County: A Heathen Prayer Book, Heathenry & The Sea, The Wyrd Less Woven: An Alternative Heathen Prayer Book, and The Children's Edda.
