What's the difference between paperback and hardcover?

Compare

Paperback has a flexible cover, usually pressure-glued together on the spine.

Hardcover has two different options. The first is called CASE LAMINATE; it means the cover is glued between a piece of cardboard, creating a harder, less flexible cover, and DUST COVER, which means the book is wrapped with a cover that wraps over the interior book. Sometimes the interior book has a blue- or grey-toned cover, which sometimes has nothing on it, and sometimes has the author, title, and publisher on the spine. Sometimes the DUST COVER version comes with a book that is covered in the same image as the dust cover.
