Lena Schattenherz Heide-Brennand
Lena Schattenherz Heide-Brennand, born in Halden in Norway in 1978, is a Norwegian multitalented writer who holds a master degree and two bachelor degrees in language, culture, ICT and literature from the University of Oslo and Østfold University College. She has been lecturing and teaching various subjects since 1998 and she’s been writing stories, poems and song lyrics since she was a little girl. She has always been fascinated by the dark sides of various historical periods and the Victorian period in British history has always had a special place in her heart. Her fields of interests and main focus are topics that others might consider eerie and she has specialised in a variety of dark subjects linked to folklore, mythology and Victorian literature and arts both as an academic and a writer. She lives with her (very) British husband James and her three children in Norway but also has a strong bond to Ely in Cambridgeshire where her in-laws live and James is born and bred. Her debut book “ Thale Annabelle and the Curse of the Ziita Witch” was published in December 2023, a book for children aged 8+ . When she’s not writing or creating mixed-media art she composes music for others and performs herself as a singer under the artist name SiberWytch.
