Sif Brookes is a reconstructive Nordic Heathen fascinated with the Valkyries,
with a supplementary academic interest around historical seiðr, the role of women in the early Medieval period, Viking Age weaponry and armour, and the study of death and burial in pre-Christian Germanic civilisations. She is frequently invited to speak at events of all sizes on all the above and is currently working alongside museums and academic centres to broaden Pagan inclusion.
She is the co-author and illustrator of The Wyrd Less Woven, an Alternative Heathen Prayer Book, alongside being a committee member of various Pagan organisations within the UK. She was a founding host of the Heathen Wyrdos podcast (now called Wyrdcraft), before leaving that project in April 2023 to pursue writing, art, and content creation. She currently creates content under Valsif on Youtube (a work in progress) and on Twitch as LadyValsif (more of a work in progress).
